Homework for 2012-2013:May Homework: Pet Rock Project....send a small box for a rock habitat by May 8.
(Box ideas: bandaids, fruit snack box, very small shoe box, etc.)

April homework: Project Fair Research and Presentation
February 2013 Choice Calendar is due on 3/1/13. The goal is 10 choices.
January 2013: Please choose and memorize a poem or scripture passage for the speech festival. A hard copy of your choice must be returned to me by Jan. 11!
December Choice Calendar is due on 1/3/13. The calendar should remain in the binder. The goal is 6 choices; please follow the calendar directions.
November Choice Calendar is due 11/30. The calendar should remain in the binder.
The goal is 10 choices; please follow the calendar directions for marking choices.
November homework also includes the creation of a "Turkey In Disguise".
Details will be in the binders on 11/5. The turkey is due on 11/19!

The December Homework Choice Page will be placed in the binders on Thur., Dec. 1. Homework for December will be graded on Dec. 16. Due to this two week time frame,
the December homework expectation is 6 activities!
Beginning in November, a monthly choice page for homework will be included in the W.O.W. Binder. Each monthly page includes 25 ideas. Each week, please choose three ideas and date the squares of the chosen activities. Some of the activities involve writing; I will include notebook paper in the binder, should you wish for me to see your child's work.
The November homework expectation is 12 activities (revised from 15)!

UPDATE: 2/3 of our class did not complete this assignment. We are studying nonfiction books as part of our current unit in Phonics/Reading. Homework will be assessed on the report card; I urge you to follow-through with homework assignments.
